Who Am I?...
I am Babak Ahsani Iravani, born in 1973, residing in Tehran. I have dedicated nearly three decades of my professional life to the field of physiotherapy, always striving to provide services based on up-to-date scientific knowledge, continuous practical experience, and ethical commitment.
I completed my undergraduate studies in physiotherapy at the University of Tehran, and from the early years of my career, I have been actively working in medical centers and specialized clinics. At the age of 44, with the goal of updating my knowledge and aligning with international standards, I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. This degree played a significant role in deepening my clinical perspective and enhancing my professional capabilities.
Over the years, I have worked in various medical centers and specialized clinics, and for many years, I have been professionally active at Apadana Hospital. During this time, I have had the honor of collaborating and providing treatment services to a wide range of patients, including well-known cultural and artistic figures in the country.

Professional Background
In 1991, after passing the national entrance exam, I began studying physiotherapy at the University of Tehran. Four years of study at this university strengthened my scientific and practical foundation in physical therapy and rehabilitation. In 1996, upon earning my bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy, I officially began my professional career. I started working in a private practice, where, in the early years, I gained valuable experience treating patients with musculoskeletal issues, chronic back pain, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Working in a clinical setting, closely interacting with patients, and designing individualized treatment plans helped me adopt a holistic approach to improving patients’ quality of life.
After several years of independent practice, I began collaborating with Apadana Hospital, where I had the opportunity to work in a team with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare specialists. At this hospital, I worked with a diverse range of patients, including those with stroke, neurological disorders, joint issues, and traumatic injuries. My primary responsibilities included performing manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise therapy, and overseeing the rehabilitation process for hospitalized patients. Additionally, during these years, I took on the role of training physiotherapy interns, passing on my experience to the next generation.
At the age of 43, I decided to update and expand my expertise internationally. To this end, I earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from NUMSS in Spain. This program, with a focus on advanced treatments, modern rehabilitation approaches, and pain management, broadened my scientific and clinical perspective and enhanced my ability to provide evidence-based treatments. Studying abroad also exposed me to other healthcare systems, innovative methods, and the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to treatment.
Today, with over two decades of experience in physiotherapy, my focus remains on delivering high-quality services, maintaining professional ethics, and effectively supporting patients on their recovery journey. I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, believing that physiotherapy is more than treating the body—it is a bridge between lost function and a return to an active, vibrant life.
